Meet Kristen Brown!
KR: Please tell us about what brings you joy and fulfillment.
KB: There is nothing better than seeing people have a-ha moments! Whether I’m on stage and see a collective eye-opening or working with someone 1-on-1 and they have a breakthrough or I’m parenting and see my daughter discover something new about herself or the world…it’s truly my favorite thing!
I also LOVE hiking, boating, paddleboarding, and being in nature. It’s a reminder of how connected everything truly is and when I feel most aligned with my body/mind/spirit.
KR: You know I’m a big believer in that we all have inner superpowers. What are some of yours?
KB: Mine is for sure my strong bounce-back game. I’m resilient as heck! Being widowed, having a child with a major surgery and radiation, owning a business, managing medical expenses, solo parenting…it’s all been hard but I’ve always approached those hard times with a positive attitude and forward-thinking mindset. (And wine…lots of wine!)
KR: Can you tell us about an influential woman in your life and how she inspired you?
KB: My grandma Vivian was always someone that made me smile and feel great about myself. She made everyone feel important and special. She was an amazing cook and baker and her food brought people together. She was always on top of what all her family and friends had going on in their lives. She spoke her mind (sometimes with minimal inner filter). And she always had a happy attitude even at the end when cancer had taken her down. I think my resilience and desire to make others always feel valued comes from her.
KR: Grandma Vivian sounds terrific! My grandmothers were HUGE influences in my life as well, so I can totally relate. If you could have one super-human power, what would it be?
KB: Oh gosh this one is hard. Part of me is totally shallow and wants to be able to multiply money or grow it on trees so I can help myself AND help so many others with the financial gift. Then the other part is to be able to give people their health and energy back – so they feel physically vibrant and strong – which enables them to better manage the mental and emotional things that arise.
KR: What do you do for fun? What are your hobbies?
KB: Hiking, boating, paddleboarding, dog cuddles, hanging with my daughter, travel (when we could travel), reading, movies, food and wine, naps! 😊 And I love energy healing, self-help, and all things body/mind/spirit-related. I’m a certified yoga teacher, crystal healer, and energy mastery expert which started as a hobby and is now a full on second business in addition to my speaking! www.namaSync.com is where you can learn all about it!
KR: Knowing what you know at this stage of your life, what words of wisdom would you give to your 20-year-old self?
KB: Well there isn’t much I would change because it’s all been such a valuable experience but I would probably remind her to use some of my dad’s best pieces of advice – it is what it is, go big or go home, and don’t write off Sundays!
