I recently had the privilege of joining today’s #RealLifeWonderWoman on her podcast. I had so much fun getting to know her–and what motivates her–that I wanted you to meet her, too! Delia Perry is a wife, mother and host of the Girls 4 Greatness Podcast. She’s a passionate advocate in helping women build confidence and believe in their ability to change, grow, and live the life they were meant to live.
I’m thrilled to introduce you to real life Wonder Woman…Delia Perry!
KR: What brings you joy or fulfillment?
DP: When I think about what brings me joy or fulfillment it comes down to focusing on others. I think I have the most joy when I know I have been an encouragement or a help to someone else. I believe that when we lead our lives with a focus on how we can bless others, then we are in turn blessed more than we could ever imagine. I try to keep this focus not just in my work as I podcast but in my life as a whole.
KR: We all have inner superpowers. What are some of yours?
DP: I guess if I were to say I had a superpower it would probably be my ability to find the positive in almost any situation. I also think that I have a gift of making others feel important and valued.

KR: Can you tell us about an influential woman in your life and how she inspired you?
DP: My mom is the first person that comes to mind. She was an example of self-sacrifice when I grew up. She was not only always present and supportive, but she taught me a lot about valuing and respecting everyone because they are just as important in the eyes of God as I am.
KR: If you could have one super-human power, what would it be?
DP: I would love to be able to grant everyone the ability to actually know and believe in their worthiness of living their best life. I would love to have the ability to grant everyone self-love.
KR: What do you do for fun? What are your hobbies?
DP: I love to spend time with my girl friends, something that is really important to me these days. I also really enjoy being active, whether that be going for a run, doing yoga or hitting the water on my wakeboard in the summer. I am also a huge fan of Cubs baseball!
KR: Knowing what you know at this stage of your life, what words of wisdom would you give to your 20-year-old self?
DP: You are so much more than what you see in the mirror! Don’t waste your time obsessing about the outside and what you can’t change. Instead, know that you have the ability to touch so many lives when you focus out and choose to stand in gratitude for all you have. Also, each day is an incredible gift so choose to be present to the moment you are in!
